As mentioned before, our tournaments are only successful cause of the players that play in them. This tournament will be a special tournament devoted to a long time diehard of NWAS, Lucy Hackbarth! Lucy has been with us since the start of NWAS, she's made it to almost every tournament that we've ran for the past 3 years. She's not just a player; she's our friend and family. Lucy will be going in for a major neck surgery and it's nothing anyone of us would ever want to go through. NWAS will be donating 50% of this tournaments proceeds to help with her medical expense to show our appreciation for all her hard work and devotion. Please come out and show your support for Lucy and the love of the game.
- What: Reverse Coed Qauds Grass Volleyball Tournament (A/AA, B/BB, 24 teams max cap)
- When: Saturday August 21st 2010, Captains meeting at 8:40am. First serve at 9am!
- Cost: Registration fee $80/team. Rank your team as accurate as you can (no Sand Bagging, we know how good you are).
- Where: LeRoy Haagen Park. NE 9th St, W of NE 136th Ave Vancouver, WA 98684
- Prize: Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division, depending on turnouts.
Slots fill up quick so register sooner then later to hold your spots.
Registration is not final till payment has been recieved!

 Aside from them crazy mosquitoes the day was just bliss! I think I even got a little sun burnt and that's pretty hard to do. We had a lot of new faces from around town and out of town as well. Congrats to those that placed in the tournament and thank you to all those that came out to play.

 Another packed tournament with 24 teams, the gym was definitely nice and cozy. Thanks to the returning teams and welcome the ones that came out. Even though it was nice and sunny outside, all the fun was at the Courts in Beaverton. Going forth, we will be hosting outdoor grass tournaments so you'll get your chance to work on your tan, stay tuned...

 Yet another rainy portland weekend and yet again the Courts in Beaverton has saved the day! Even though the tournament was moved indoors, I can't express enough how much we appreciate each and everyone that made it out to our tournament. I've had a lot of people come to me telling me how much fun and great our tournaments are and I keep telling them it is you the players that makes it great. We are open to any suggestion/comments that will improve and better our tournaments. Our tournaments is ran by the players, for the players... oh and those crazy spectators too :) You know who you are!!!  The University of Portland Volleyball Club is in search of a volleyball loving, dedicated, energetic and athletic coach for their 2010-2011 school year. We are an all year club from the end of August to the first week in April. Our first year as a club was 2009-2010 and we are now ready to have a coach and play some competitive volleyball.
